Why Lebanon Needs Your Help Right NowLebanon is facing one of its worst humanitarian emergencies in years. Heavy airstrikes have struck Beirut's southern suburbs, the Bekaa Valley, Tyre, Nabatieh, and dozens of villages across southern Lebanon — killing more than 60 civilians and wounding over 350 people. Evacuation orders have forced entire neighbourhoods and more than 53 villages to flee, triggering a rapidly expanding displacement crisis. The city of Saida has become the main refuge for fleeing families. Over 9,000 displaced individuals are now crammed into 23 public schools — sleeping on cold classroom floors, having left their homes with nothing. These buildings were never built for this. There are no kitchens, no adequate sanitation, and no way for families to prepare food for themselves.This Lebanon Emergency Fund provides hot meals every day for two months to 792 families — 3,960 people sheltering in Saida's school-based collective centres.
