We will be travelling to Lebanon with the Human Appeal Team, to collectively deliver food packages, hot meals, stationary kits &amp; hygiene kits to our Palestinian and Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese families. The donations raised will help support our brothers and sisters who are living in uninhabitable and unimaginable living conditions. **ZAKAT APPLICABLE** My name is Zeynab, and this September I’ll be taking personal time off work to travel to Lebanon with the Human Appeal Team. I can’t stay in comfort while children and families face hardships that are almost impossible to imagine, and I feel a deep sense of responsibility to do something about it. This trip is personal. I grew up without a mother’s love as a child, and I know the ache of missing that warmth, but the children I’ll meet in Lebanon have endured far more. They have lost homes, safety, and their childhood. I want them to know they are not alone, that someone cares, and that there is hope. I grew up in the Middle East, surrounded by families struggling to make ends meet. I remember my grandmother bringing hungry children home to feed, even when we had little ourselves. I also remember strangers showing me small acts of kindness - giving me sweets or a toy for Eid - moments I still treasure decades later. Those gestures taught me how much one act of care can change a life. By God’s mercy, I am now blessed, and I feel a responsibility to share what I have with those who need it most. During this trip, I’ll be right there with the children - feeding them, doing fun activities, and creating small moments of joy.
